Humanity Without Truth

It is no secret that we are living in an unprecedented time of turmoil and social upheaval. I want to urge my brothers and sisters in Christ to resist being drawn in and becoming like those who spread anger and division. Bitterness spreads like an insidious weed, entangling those who allow it to take root, choking out all fruitfulness. Hebrews 12:15 tells us that it causes trouble and defiles many. Instead, let us commit to honor Jesus Christ in word and action as we press on through these troubling times. I know that I am not the only one growing weary of people attacking one another - picking apart, criticizing and complaining about everything they do not agree with. It can certainly cause frustration and anger if we allow it to, especially when it is aimed at us or someone we love. We must remember that as God’s people we know the truth - the truth that enables us to extend grace and love in the face of condemnation and hate. We must remind ourselves daily that we do not fight against flesh and blood, our enemy is Satan - and we also know that he will not win in the end. We cannot expect anything more than what we are seeing from those who are lost in sin and blind to the things of God. I truly believe we are being given a glimpse of what this world will become apart from God, because humanity without God, without Truth, can only lead to what we are witnessing in our country right now - mankind grappling to define one’s own personal truth, where right and wrong no longer exist and order is irrelevant - which can ultimately lead only to chaos. By definition chaos is a state of utter confusion or disorder and that is exactly what life without God is. It is also exactly what the enemy is after. With all that is happening around us in our world right now, I believe God is giving each one of us an incredible opportunity to choose how we will move forward at this moment in time, in the midst of this evil and perverse generation. It is time to choose who we will serve. Will we choose to go back to days filled with the world’s endless distractions and arguments or will we choose to focus on Jesus Christ and the incredible task He has given us in making Him known? I pray that we will choose to share the only thing that has the power to set each captive free, bringing life to what is dead - the Good News of Jesus Christ! You and I hold the hope of the world and it is time to share it! #sharinghopenow
Jesus prayed this prayer for you and I -“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.’’ (John 17:20-21) Together we can make Him known - that the world may believe that God sent His Son to give them a new and abundant life of faith, hope and the amazing love of a Savior that died to set them free.
